The Sudden Outpost is C.S. first solo exhibition in a private gallery, is conceived as a borderless journey.
Elements from previous works, such as Mandala n.1 and Dio é Morto (fotogrammi) are hosted next to the new ones. Footage and photos from the artist's own archive become the material for new pieces, such as in the photomontage Stay Gold and the video Outpost.
The use of printed wrapping paper on the walls is reminiscent of bordeline landscapes as much as a critical take on the exotic wallpaper and vedutismo culture of the XVII century. A western film genre context permeates the exhibition as a critical trajectory of 'the frontier' to conquer and defend rather than to value it as relational outer space.
